The reception classroom is a resource, an organizational and methodological strategy to attend the newcomer students when they reach the educational system in Catalonia.
This strategy has a dual purpose: first of all, that the student feels good and valued in the emotional aspects and, secondly, that he has the basic language tools to start, as soon as possible and in the best conditions, the teaching-learning process in the ordinary classroom of the educational system in Catalonia.
The methodology of the reception classroom must take into account the organization of learning in a globalized way, the existence of functional activities, the promotion of cooperative work and the establishment of positive personal relationships.
